White Wine

Chardonnay

  • Craggy Range 'Les Beaux Cailloux' 2005 NZD $59.99 $47.99
Get in fast with this exceptional Chardonnay from Craggy Range. Aromas of peach, cream and hazelnut, underpinned by zesty lemon notes. Full bodied with bright acids and firmness, giving elegance to the structure. Beautifully balanced.

Sauvignon Blanc

  • Discovery Point Sauvignon Blanc 2009 NZD $21.99
A distinct departure from over-whelming, tropical fruit flavoured show styles of Sauv. Inspired by the great styles of the Loire Valley in France, it is an elegant, finely textured, completely dry Marlborough Sauv that is a perfect partner with fine seafood or worth savouring on its own. Rivals the best of NZ.
  • Lonestone Sauvignon Blanc 2007 NZD $16.99
The Lonestone label is produced by Master of Wine Steve Bennett and Matt Deller. These gentlemen will only settle for the best when they put their names behind one of their wines. Reminiscent of the old style of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc with an excellent perfume of lime, lemon and gooseberry. On the palate it is succulent and clean with excellent depth leading to wonderful finish and length. As our customers have told us time and time again… “You simply can’t go wrong with this.”

Pinot Gris

  • Omaka Springs Pinot Gris 2008 NZD $16.99
Only here for another week! Don't miss this. Great fruit up front with flavours of pear, peach and honey. A mouth filling texture finishes with a touch of "more-ish" sweetness. Fantastic value for dollar! I've tasted lesser quality Pinot Gris at $30! ....
  • Tranquillity Bay Pinot Gris 2008 NZD $12.99
One customer says, "I haven't had a Pinot Gris this good for ages - and it's $12.99?" A dry, fruit driven style, especially suitable to have with food, the wine has an aromatic nose with pear and stone fruit aromas leading to a touch of spice and a honeyed fruit-driven palate with generous mouthfeel and a soft smooth finish.
  • Spy Valley Envoy Pinot Gris 2008 NZD $31.99
Still very youthful, but lush and lovely, with a soft texture and rich, peachy, gently sweet flavours. Fleshy and very harmonious, with greater complexity than most New Zealand Pinot Gris and obvious cellaring potential. Another must buy for fans of great Pinot Gris.
  • Terravin Pinot Gris 2007 NZD $32.99
First release of this luscious full bodied Pinot Gris. A delicate scent of rose petal and spices with a lush full palate. If you love full bodied Gris then you'll have to give this one a try. A real mouthful.
  • Amisfield Pinot Gris 2008 NZD $34.99
It's so great to have this back. This is possibly the best vintage yet. An amazing wine with complex flavours and depth of character. Ripe red apple & peach aromas, a soft & generous palate with a long silky finish. Great drinking now, but given a few years in bottle, will develop into a texturally rich and satisfying Pinot Gris. But we can't see you keeping it for too long. Normally $39.99ea
  • Whitehaven Pinot Gris 2008 NZD $18.99
Gold Medal Winner New Zealand International Wine Show and Gold at the Royal Easter Show 2009. The 2008 Pinot Gris is full-flavoured, medium-bodied with a mouth filling texture, attractive acid length and a dry finish. The pear, quince and citrus peel flavours lend a lovely appeal and elegance to the wine.
  • Koura Bay Sharkstooth Pinot Gris 2008 NZD $19.99
This is a well structured wine, with a rich, soft texture, medium acidity and long finish. Lifted quince and pear flavours dominate the palate. Have with dishes featuring mushrooms, such as quiches, but is also well matched to creamy pastas and pork.

Aromatics/Other

  • Revington Gewurztraminer 2007 NZD $20.99
A full flavoured classic Gisborne Gewurztraminer. Very big on both aroma and taste. Ripe stonefruit aromas with a light floral touch. Although this wine is a dry style, it has a lovely mouthfilling oilyness typical of the variety. Outstanding drinking on it's own or makes a perfect accompaniment to Thai or curry dishes.
  • Bellbird Springs Home Block White NZD $28.99
An interestingly lush single vineyard blend of Pinot Gris, Riesling, Gewurztraminer and Muscat from this Waipara vineyard. Fullness on the palate through the Pinot Gris which comprises the majority of the blend. Riesling adds underlying freshness and its signature streak of lime blossom whilst small quantities of Muscat and Gewürztraminer contribute to aromatic complexity. A beautiful pairing with Eastern cuisine.
  • Wood Park Viognier 2008 NZD $24.99
We had this open next to a 5 Star Viognier from NZ and everyone thought this wine was way, way better. Some even said this is the best Viognier they have ever had.An absolutely beautiful wine made from grapes are grown on the edge of the home block of Wood Park in Victoria. Owner and winemaker John Stokes tells us he won't enter this into competitions because of the limited supply. We were lucky to get any of it.Twelve months in French oak and regular lees stirring enhances its subtle delicacte complexity. Pale straw with floral characters including honeysuckle and orange blossom. You could spend all day just smelling it.On th... more »
  • Tietjen Witters TW Gisborne Viognier 2008 NZD $19.99
'Vee On Yay' is the way to say ... Viognier. We had nearly given up on this grape variety which was meant to be the next 'big thing' in NZ wine after the Pinot Gris phenomenon. A shame that all the hype could have been something a lot more interesting and worth buying and telling your friends about - and at a reasonable price. But all the big names released some very thin, green, featureless and more often than not, very expensive wines. We were finding our customers were beginning to give up hope on ever finding a good value Viognier. We think we've found the Viognier, and a great wine everyone is going to go nuts about. The key thing... more »
  • Craggy Range Noble 2006 - 375ml NZD $37.99 $29.99
Grab this now. On Special for a limited time.

Pale colour with green straw flecks. Fresh aromas of lime and citrus blossom are complemented by apricot characters. Flavours are reminiscent of lime, marmalade and white peach. The palate is rich yet remains tight and linear due to crisp, clean acids. The wine finishes with alluring fresh spicy notes.... more »
  • Terravin Noble Sauvignon 2006 - 375ml NZD $49.50
This is quite possibly the best NZ dessert you will ever get to try. Only just released a matter of days ago this has already been awarded a 96/100 from Bob Campbell and 93/100 from Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (from a barrel sample!) Some top wine critics have said this rivals some of the best to come out of Sauternes and will cellar for a cool 20 years+ if given the chance. Look out for this in the near future. This is going to get a whole lot more press! Very limited and worth every drop.... more »
